My lazy Week
Although I have not been writing much for a week now, its been a very lazy week for me. Today I hope to make it more useful.
This week I have been simply focusing on my clients website and some wedding preparations. I never knew planning a wedding is so hard and obviously expensive. Tiny tiny things count. Apart from the venue there is also the decor, wedding cards, food, accommodation for friends coming from overseas, the dresses, makeup and henna and lots more.
Umang and I have also been very fussy over the venue. Its nice to see him contributing on every wedding decision. The sad thing is that I have to depend on my friends to help me shop a dress in India. There are hardly much of a variety here and the cost is mind-blowing.
Today I am planning to cook something special and fill my refrigerator. I am planning to make spring rolls and something nice for dinner.
Yesterday I made Shalgam (Turnips). They turned out to be exactly the way my mother makes it. Reminded me of the times my mum used to cook it in Pakistan for us.
Other than that I would be cleaning the house and working more on the wedding. Dont I already sound like a housewife? Trust me, I also feel like one. Another stage of life and also a sign that I have grown up. :)
